Riad l’Orchidée Marrakech

Riad L’Orchidée is located in the elegant Riad Larouss district of the Old City and is full of all the enchantments of the Orient in an Asiatic atmosphere. The lovely central patio is built around a tadelakt swimming pool, whose turquoise waters invite guests to take a refreshing dip during the heat of the summer days. The opposite wall is covered in a sculpted cladding of grey rock, down which a small artificial waterfall cascade down into the pool. The coolness and harmonious design of the patio complement one another to create the perfect place to relax or to sip a drink.

The rooms at Riad L’Orchidée
The decor and colour schemes of the six bedrooms of this Marrakesh luxury guesthouse are individually designed in accordance with the different flowers whose names they bear: Jasmine, Fuchsia, Poppy, Amaryllis and Nasturtium.

An ingenuous blend of modern comforts and traditional Asiatic elegance, all rooms are heated and air-conditioned and have their own private bathroom with either a shower or a bath-tub, as well as private lavatories and Internet access. Each one has a small lounge furnished in Asian-style dark wood furniture, adding to the authenticity of their character.

On the ground floor, to the left of the patio, a Moroccan sitting room invites guests to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere. The wide banquettes and open fireplace create a convivial space in which to spend time reading, chatting and relaxing.
A little bit more cosy, yet nevertheless very elegant, the Zen lounge on the first floor offers deep tranquillity, very conducive to meditation on questions of all kinds.

Up on the roof, the roof terrace, screened by papyrus hedges, is the perfect place to work on your tan, stretching out on a modern interpretation of traditional chaises longues. It is also the place to contemplate the wonderful views of the roofs of the Old City, seeing without being seen as you peep through the shady papyrus hedges or take an open-air shower to cool yourself down. Night falls, rooftop lanterns light up around the fountain cascading down a stature of the Buddha, relax and allow the mystical, romantic ambience to intoxicate you under the azure and mauve skies of Marrakesh.
